Isul joined PSR-LA in late 2024 as the Finance & Administrative Associate to support the tireless community and policy work of the PSR-LA team from behind the scenes, ensuring accounting, HR, and operations tasks and procedures run smoothly. One of her favorite parts of the job is gaining knowledge from PSR-LA’s team about environmental justice, public health, and community wellness.
Isul’s journey into the nonprofit sector and social impact spaces began in college, where she held various internships and research fellowships at international development organizations, such as Oxfam and a civil rights NGO in South Korea. Since then, she has built her organizational management skills over the last 20+ years at both nonprofit and corporate entities (and even at her own independent businesses as a musician and caterer!). Just before joining PSR-LA, her role as Chief of Staff at a global foundation widened her professional scope to include evaluating and sourcing responsible data and tech platforms to help streamline cross-departmental operations and measure social impact.
Isul holds a B.A. in Sociology from Harvard and is currently pursuing CPA certification at UC Irvine. She splits her time between vibrant, urban Los Angeles and her rural home in the peaceful, beautiful nook of the CA desert called Wonder Valley (next to Joshua Tree National Park). She is an avid home cook, engaging with a diverse array of foodways. She is also a lover of very large dogs, and is currently a dog mom to a handsome shepherd mix named Gus.
