Bonita Chateau joined PSR-LA as the Finance and Administrative Associate. She supports various operational functions, ranging from finance and HR to other administrative tasks, to ensure a strong structure for the nonprofit to fulfill its mission. Bonita’s favorite part of the job is witnessing the expansion of the organization and knowing that her love for processes and organization contributes to PSR-LA’s success. In the past, she worked as an office manager in the hospice world and exercised her finance and administrative skills at a nonprofit that supports the push for zero-emission public transportation.

She has a love for world travel and well-being that came about after studying and living abroad during her early 20s. Through her travels, she encountered firsthand the socio-economic disparities, pollution, and stress faced by disadvantaged communities. She was dismayed by the reality and knew she wanted to be part of a movement that would benefit the well-being of others. After 16 years of professional and personal growth, she came across the opportunity to be a part of PSR-LA’s movement and signed up to support the cause by contributing her strengths.

Bonita has a bachelor’s in Psychology from UC Berkeley and resides in Long Beach, CA. During her free time, she does habitat restoration at the Los Cerritos Wetlands and volunteers at the LB Community Compost.
