It’s National Water Quality Month—Let’s Talk Asbestos (The Mesothelioma Center)

For much of the 20th century, asbestos was commonly used in municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. As these systems age and develop cracks, the risk of asbestos leaching into our water supply increases. Exposure to asbestos-contaminated water at certain levels can pose serious health risks to the public.

To raise awareness, we're sharing resources from The Mesothelioma Center about asbestos in water and the symptoms of exposure. Learn more at asbestos.com.

Thank you to The Mesothelioma Center for sharing these resources.
